We would like to thank everyone who has been in touch with questions and feedback during the recent consultation.
Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive on both sites with a lot of support in principle for the emerging designs, highway and parking plans. We’ve produced a designated web page here with the answers to as many questions as possible and these are also listed in our FAQs page too.
Ashton Gate Chairman Martin Griffiths said “We are really pleased with the response we’ve had and more importantly, glad that people have got involved in helping us shape these important proposals.
“With Covid-19 and the lockdowns we’ve had to do things differently – this included sending a newsletter to more than 10,500 homes in BS3 and hand-delivering letters to around 800 immediate neighbours. It’s been reassuring to see that the feedback has been really positive on both sites, with great excitement around the Sporting Quarter.
“This extended consultation process has enabled us to take on board many constructive observations generated from the engagement with all interested Parties and especially the local community.
“There is still a lot to do but we are looking forward to submitting the planning applications in the next few months. We’d like to stress that we continue to welcome questions and feedback as the process continues.”
