Ashton Gate sits in the heart of its community. Driven by our desire to use sport to change people’s lives for the better and to provide genuine benefits for local people.
These proposals seek to enhance this further by providing facilities both inside the SCC and on its roof with dedicated sports and wellbeing facilities located there too. This will enable the Bristol Sport Foundation to work with 40,000 more people every year.
Ashton Gate has delivered £13 million in to the local economic supply chain
Provides employment for more than 600 people
Has an operational payroll of £3.3 million
80% of AG staff live within five miles of the stadium
Average of employees is 28 years old with 45% female / 55% male split
Bristol Sport Foundation, Bristol Flyers Community Foundation, Robins Foundation and the Bristol Bears Foundation – all of which offer much-needed education and sports programmes for all ages and abilities
Our plans would bring significant benefits to BS3 and the surrounding area.
